I found that FPE Kaspersky anti-virus engine failed to update. FPE should use the Kaspersky 8 engine and not the Kaspersky 5 engine (which has stopped being published).
- Download the localenginemapping.cab from this location: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=196982
- To enable Kaspersky 8, copy the localenginemapping.cab to the following location ( …\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Forefront Protection for Exchange Server\Data\Engines\metadata). The settings will take effect automatically. The next engine update will provide the Kaspersky 8 engine.
